Android Download Steps

Install Mixin Messenger on your Android device.

System Requirements

• Android 5.0 or higher
• At least 100MB available storage

Method 1: Download via Google Play Store (Recommended)

1. Open Google Play Store on your phone
2. Enter "Mixin Messenger" in the search bar
3. Find the Mixin Messenger app (Developer: Mixin)
4. Tap the "Install" button
5. Wait for the app to automatically download and install
6. Tap "Open" or find the app icon on your home screen
7. Open the app and start creating or importing an account

Method 2: Direct APK Download

For users unable to access Google Play Store:

1. Visit GitHub Releases in your phone browser
2. Find the latest version's APK file
3. Tap to download the APK file
4. After download completes, open file manager to find the APK file
5. Tap the APK file to start installation
6. If prompted "Install from unknown sources not allowed", go to settings to allow installation from this browser
7. Follow the prompts to complete installation
8. Find the app icon on your home screen and open it

Common Issues

Cannot download from Play Store?

• Ensure your device system version meets requirements (Android 5.0 or higher)
• Check if Google account is logged in
• Try clearing Play Store cache
• Use APK download method

APK installation prompt says cannot install?

• Go to "Settings" > "Security" > Allow "Unknown sources"
• Ensure downloaded APK file is complete and not corrupted
• Check if storage space is sufficient

Cannot open after installation?

• Restart device and try again
• Check for system updates
• Uninstall and reinstall
